Our popular annual Big Day of Science at the Museum at Inveresk offers endless opportunity for discovery, unravelling the mysteries of the universe through interactive exhibits, workshops, and science-themed activities.

2024 welcomes live zoo tours with Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in the Nuala O’Flaherty Auditorium, live demonstrations to get up close and personal with the residents of the Tasmanian Reptile Park, interactive play spaces with the Sustainability Learning Centre, the beloved Make It Place craft station where you’ll unleash your creativity, feature films in the Launceston Planetarium, and interactive workshops with Tasmania’s Mobile Antarctic Classroom where you’ll learn about animal species and climate change, alongside playing with a live snow machine!
