Get set to travel through time and space for Science Week 2024 at QVMAG.

We have not one, but TWO out-of-this-world new shows launching in the Launceston Planetarium to celebrate Science Week 2024—and to celebrate, we have FREE screenings for Seniors.

In a world out of balance, We Are Guardians looks at how ecosystems are intrinsically connected and, with the increasing use of satellite monitoring, examines the links between human activities and climate change.

Our country's past 140,000 years are explored in The Earth Above: A Deep Time View of Australia's Epic History. This feature-length, full-dome planetarium show incorporates traditional and scientific knowledge to tell Australia’s epic story.

Sit back in our plush movie theatre-style seats and journey across space and time with our full-dome film experience at the Launceston Planetarium, Museum at Inveresk, 2 Invermay Road.

Click on the links below to reserve your free ticket for a specific date and time, or call (03) 6323 3777 during business hours. A valid Seniors card must be presented on arrival. Tickets are subject to availability, so be sure to book early.
