Science Week 2022: Big Day of Science

Join scientists from across Northern Tasmania at QVMAG as we celebrate Science Week 2022 with one BIG day of science at the Museum.

Learn about the science taking place around us every day as you get hands-on with interesting objects and enjoy a range of free activities at the Museum at Inveresk.

To celebrate the 2022 theme of Glass, you can expect to:

• Explore objects with lenses as part of the 'Do you see what I see?' activity
• Learn about double glazing through experiments
• Join in activities from groups in the local community
• Watch the film The art and science of glass making
• Learn about bead making through a workshop with Glass Manifesto
• Use microscopes and magnifiers to explore objects from the QVMAG collection
• Enjoy shows in the Launceston Planetarium

Join us for this free day of fun and learning on Saturday 13 August from 10am to 4pm at the Museum at Inveresk (2 Invermay Road).
