The Plomley Foundation
The Plomley Foundation was established in 1984 by the late N. J. B. 'Brian' Plomley, a former Director of QVMAG from 1946 to 1950, and from the early 1980s until his death in 1994, an Honorary Research Associate at QVMAG.
Since its establishment, the Foundation has supported a wide variety of research projects on various aspects of Tasmania’s ethnographic, natural and cultural heritage. A major focus of the Foundation is Tasmanian Aboriginal research, an area of particular interest to Brian Plomley.
