The Great War 1914-18: sacrifice and shadows
This exhibition is now closed.
Displayed at the Queen Victoria Museum at Inveresk until 11 November 2018.
This exhibition provides an insight in to the war experiences of Tasmanian soldiers, nurses, airmen and navy personnel, acknowledging their fears, courage and stoicism.
The exhibition examines the impact of the war through three themes: The Home Front, The Battlefront, and The Aftermath. As well as stories of heroism, The Great War 1914-18: Sacrifice and Shadows tells the deeper stories of the impact of the war on not only those involved on the front, but on those left back home.
