TSO Royal Park Series — Sublime Strings

A part of our Royal Park Series. Barber’s deeply emotive Adagio opens this concert before fellow-American composer Jessie Montgomery raises your spirits with her unifying melodies and upbeat rhythms. Beethoven’s String Quartet brings the concert to a light and enjoyable close.

This concert marks the first for the year in Launceston, as well as the TSO's inaugural event in collaboration with the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery. TSO is thrilled with our new partnership with QVMAG, an iconic venue that has enriched the State with its art and history since 1891. The atmospheric surrounds of the Art Gallery provide the perfect backdrop for this concert, which also includes the debut performance TSO Chamber program.
