History collection
The QVMAG history collection represents both Tasmania's place in Australia and the world, and brings the world to Tasmania.
The collection represents collecting activities from 1842 to present day. It is diverse, and ranges across many collecting areas, including personal items, archaeology, comparative cultural collections and large industrial technology. Some iconic items include the Australasian League flag, the first flag to feature the southern cross in its natural formation, our 1923 Alfa Romeo RLS Sport motor car, owned by Launceston businessman, Gordon Fysh.
