Celebrating International Women's Day 2023
Wednesday, March 8 marks International Women's Day.
To celebrate, the City of Launceston and Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery will host four interactive events with female guest speakers, exploring art, culture and conversation.
Launceston Mayor Danny Gibson said he was pleased to see a diverse line-up of Launceston events for International Women's Day 2023.
"It's great to see Tasmanian female cultural practitioners leading these community events and we're really encouraging people to come and check them out," Mayor Gibson said.
"The workshops and morning tea will offer a range of experiences and perspectives on society, culture and art, while exploring the theme 'embrace equity'.
"There's something for everyone and I hope people take advantage of what's on offer."
